Είναι η αυθεντική προσωπική δικαιοσύνη κατάρτισης κάθε ατόμου που είναι να ευλογηθεί για να σπάσει εμπρός όλα τα miseries της ζωτικότητας. Ανώτατο είναι το φυσικό κράτος, τόσο κανονικό όσο τα τοπία και οι εποχές. Είναι ασυνήθες για να υποφέρει και είναι μόνο λόγω της τύφλωσής μας ότι υποφέρουμε. Η ηλιοφάνεια είναι το ζήτημα οι δυνάμεις και η ουσιαστική κατάρτιση. Να επιτύχει τις επικρατούσες γνωστικές δυνάμεις, για να κατανοήσει πλήρως την πρόθεση της ζωής, για να πραγματοποιήσει prevalently τη σχετικότητα των ανθρώπινων οντων η μια στην άλλη, πρόκειται να βάλει ένα τέλος σε όλα που υποφέρουν, να δραπετεύσει κάθε άρρωστος και κακός που μας στενοχωρούν. Οι επικρατούσες γνωστικές δυνάμεις είναι η απόλαυση.

Γιατί δοκιμάζουμε τον πόνο στη ζωή; Επειδή στο σχέδιο της φύσης αναγκαζόμαστε μπροστά στην ανάπτυξη και στερούμαστε τον υποσυνείδητο φωτισμό που μπορεί μόνο να ανάψει τη μορφή και να επιτρέψει σε μας για να κινηθεί ακίνδυνα ανάμεσα στα εμπόδια που βρίσκονται προγενέστερα εμείς. Χαρακτηριστικά δεν βλέπουμε ακόμη και ή δεν θεωρούμε τη συνύπαρξη του προβλήματος έως ότου πηδά αμέσως επάνω σε μας όπως ένα κρυμμένο κτήνος. Μια ημέρα το οικογενειακό δαχτυλίδι μας είναι ολόκληρο και χαρούμενο. Κατόπιν ο σκοπός έχει έρθει και έχει πάει και το Ecstasy αντικαθίσταται με την πόνο. Σήμερα έχουμε έναν φιλαράκο. Σύντομα θα είναι αντίπαλος και δεν βλέπουμε αληθινά. Λίγο ενώ πριν είχαμε την τύχη και όλες τις υλικές πολυτέλειες. Υπεάρξε μια ξαφνική τροποποίηση και τώρα έχουμε μόνο την ανάγκη και τη στεναχώρια και όμως ψάχνουμε μάταια για ένα κλειδί που αυτό πρέπει να είναι. Υπεάρξε ένας χρόνος όταν είχαμε την υγεία και τη δύναμη και την πίστη στην προσωπική κατάρτιση. Κατόπιν έχουν εξαφανιστεί και καμία εξόρμηση ενός προσωπικού προβλήματος δεν εμφανίζεται.

Εκτός από αυτές τις μεγαλύτερες τραγωδίες της ζωής τα αναρίθμητα πράγματα της μικρότερης συνέπειας μας φέρνουν συνεχώς σε τα μικρούς miseries και τον ανήλικο heartaches. Ο πιό σοβαρά επιθυμούμε να τους αποφύγουμε μέσω της προσωπικής κατάρτισης αλλά δεν τους βλέπουμε ποτέ έως ότου μας χτυπούν, μέχρι στο σκοτάδι της άγνοιάς μας που διαπράττουμε σφάλμα επάνω σε τους. Τα πράγματα λείπουμε είμαστε ο μεταφυσικός φωτισμός και η προσωπική κατάρτιση που θα επιτρέψουν σε μας για να δουν μακρινός και ευρύς, βρίσκοντας τις κρυμμένες αιτίες προσωπικοί να υποστούμε και της αποκάλυψης της μεθόδου με την οποία μπορούν να αποφευχθούν και εάν μπορούμε αλλά να φθάσουμε στη φωτεινότητα το εξελικτικό ταξίδι μπορεί να γίνει και άνετα και γρήγορα. Στο σκοτάδι η προσωπική αύξησή μας θα ήταν νωθρή και πονώντας. Αλλά εάν θα μπορούσαμε να πιέσουμε ένα κουμπί που θα άνοιγε το ηλεκτρικό φως θα μπορούσαμε έπειτα να κάνουμε το ίδιο ταξίδι γρήγορα και με την επικρατούσες ασφάλεια και την άνεση.

The old method of edification, personal training was to store the intellect with as many facts, or supposed facts, as could be accumulated and to give a sure exterior gloss to the personality. The theory was that when a man was born he was a prevalent human being and that all that could be done for him was to load him up with information that would be used with more or less skill, according to the native ability he happened to be born with.

The theosophical idea is that the physical man, and all that constitutes his life in the physical world, is but a very partial expression of the self; that in the ego of each there is practically unlimited power and cognitive powers; that these may be brought through into expression in the physical world as the physical body and its invisible counterparts, which together constitute the complex vehicle of the ego’s manifestation, are evolved and adapted to the purpose; and that in exact proportion that conscious personal training effort is given to such self-development will spiritual illumination be achieved and cognitive powers attained. The ray that leads to self worth is kindled from within and the evolutionary trip that all are making may be robbed of its suffering.

Why does death bring misery? Chiefly because it separates us from those we love. The alone other cause why death brings sorrow and fear is because we do not realize it and admit the part it plays in individual evolvement. But the moment our ignorance gives way to comprehension such fear vanishes and a serene happiness takes its place. Why do we have opponents from whose words or acts we ache? Because in our limited bodily consciousness, which is a result of scarcity of personal training, we do not perceive the totality of all life and realize that our wrong thinking and doing must recoil upon us through other persons a situation from which there is no chancy escape except through ceasing to think evil and then patiently awaiting the time when the causes we have yet generated are fully exhausted. When spiritual brightness comes, and we no longer trip in the night of unfamiliarity, the last opposition will disappear and we shall make no more forever.

Why do people suffer from poverty and disease? Only because of our blundering ignorance that makes their existence possible for us, and because we do not comprehend their meaning and their lessons, nor know the attitude to assume toward them. Had we but the cognitive powers to understand why they come to people, why they are necessary factors in their evolvement, they would trouble us no longer. When nature’s lesson is fully learned these mute teachers will vanish and we’ll have true personal training.

And so it is with all modes of suffering we experience. They are at rarely reactions from our puzzled blunderings and instructors that point out the propitious way. When we have comprehended personal training lessons they teach they are no longer necessary and disappear. It is not by the accidental acquirement of facts that men turn out clever and great. It is by developing the soul from inwards until it illuminates the intellect with that flood of light called genius.
